In 2006, she was recruited to join a field school collaboration between the World Monuments Fund, Preservation Trades Network, the University of Florida, the American College of the Building Arts, Les Compagnons du Devoir, and the Shaker Museum and Library to restore the granary building of Mount Lebanon Shaker Village, where she met future husband and co-founder Julien Worms.
After completing the field school, Christina worked as a preservation specialist with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, managing projects in the Hurricane Relief Grant for Historic Preservation. Additionally, she worked as a project lead for regional architects on the restoration and reconstruction of buildings of national, state, and local significance.
JULIEN WORMS, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Julien Worms completed ten years of rigorous training at France's most prestigious trade school: les Compagnons du Devoir et du tour de France, where he mastered the skill of timber framing and millwork. As part of his studies, Julien spent more than three years traveling throughout France to study and acquire a wide range of carpentry skills and techniques.
He was later hired by an international timber framing company as the project manager for its portfolio of high-end hospitality projects, including the Four Seasons in Bora-Bora and villas in the Bahamas and Hawaii. Julien was also notably involved in the replica of Henry David Thoreau's cabin with Bensonwood, where he opened the relationship between the company and les Compagnons du Devoir.
Julien is a member of the Timber Framers Guild, the Architectural Woodwork Institute, and will forever be a part of les Compagnons du Devoir where he makes an annual pilgrimage and stays actively involved in the community.
